Dr Patricia Barreto
Clinical Psychologist

Hi. I am Doctor Patricia Barreto, owner and creator of MAPS Integrated Wellness. I hold a Medical/Clinical Psychology doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and have had a passion for wellness since I was a young trainee. In my practice, I conduct psychological, pre-surgical, and forensic evaluations as well as Psychotherapy. I also collaborate with other providers to deliver integrated care to patients. I was born and raised in Havana Cuba but became an adult in the United States. I have traveled to many countries and I find pride in having met many interesting people over the years. I trained in Ballet in Havana during my adolescence. Artistic expression will always be close to my heart and I use it in many of my programs. When I am not at the beach, I can be found with my loved ones, having deep conversations with friends, running around Amelia Park, reading, and playing with my dog. I wish I could go to a play, the ballet, or the symphony more often. My kids and husband are present in almost everything I do. We live in Amelia Island and we love it here. Hope to meet you soon! Here is a link to my resume-- Copy of Copy of CV Barreto 2019.docx

Beth Matricia
Office Manager/CFO

Hello. My name is Beth Matricia and I’m the office manager here at MAPS. I’ve lived in Amelia Island my entire life. I’m an island girl through-and-through and enjoy traveling, scuba diving, yoga, and spending time with my “mini- me”. I truly believe in MAPS and everything we stand for. As Greg Anderson once said, “Wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit- the realization that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of well-being.”
Ross Wise
RN, PMHNP student

Hello! I am Ross Wise. I am currently enrolled with Ohio University School of Nursing working on a post-
grad certification to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I received two
Bachelor’s Degrees from Francis Marion University – one in Biology and one in Nursing. I also have a
Master’s Degree in Nursing from United States University. I have been a nurse for 15 years. I recently
retired from the Army after almost 26 years of military service (5 years in the Coast Guard). I have been
on multiple mobilizations and deployments to include various stops in the Middle East. My goal is to
finish school and officially join the team here at MAPS so that I can assist individuals with issues that
they may be dealing with on this journey that we call life. I especially look forward to assisting my fellow
veterans. When not otherwise engaged with work and school, I enjoy spending time with my family,
traveling, watching college football (go Gamecocks!), and taking rides on my motorcycle.
Felix Soleh, PMHNP
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Hello! I am Dr. Felix Soleh. I completed my MSN with a Psychiatric/Mental Health
Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) specialty at the University of Alabama at
Birmingham (The Blazers!) and my Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of
Florida (Go Gators!). Admittedly a science geek, I also hold a Master of Science
in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska. Although I have been an
independent psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner for several years, my
ICU nursing background is a strength in my approach to patient care and team
relationships. I am grateful for the opportunity to help individuals throughout their
lifespan and deliver care professionally. My goal is to build the best therapeutic
alliance with my patients and to provide resources and support along with
pharmacological interventions. I believe each patient is unique and deserves my
undivided attention, honor, and respect. In addition to working at MAPS, I also
serve our community at the MHRC in Jacksonville and provide services to the
LGBTQ community there. During my spare time, I love to walk on the beach,
park, and botanical garden while listening to my favorite music to relax.
Tasha Ellsberry
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

My journey in healthcare began when I turned 18. From an early age, I knew I wanted to become a nurse and help people when they needed it most. Over the past 20 years, I have progressed through roles as a CNA, LPN, RN, and Nurse Practitioner. Throughout my career, I’ve always been deeply drawn to mental health and understanding what drives human behavior. My passion is also personal—I have lived with major depressive disorder, and I've supported friends and family through their own mental health struggles. My husband, a war veteran, has faced his own battles, making this work even more meaningful to me. My goal is simple: to help people heal by getting to the root of the problem. I believe in compassionate, individualized care that addresses not just symptoms but the underlying causes of emotional pain. I have experience in ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder/mood disorders and serious mental illnesses. I enjoy working with my patients to find the best treatment options for them. I believe I bring a compassionate and empathetic outlook to how I treat patients. I want to work with you to find the best individualized care possible.

Katie Worley
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

My name is Katie Worley, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist dedicated to supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. Growing up in the picturesque upstate New York, I developed a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors, which has greatly influenced my journey as a mental health professional. Seven years ago, I made the decision to move south, where I have since embraced new opportunities and challenges that have enriched both my personal and professional life.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut, where I not only focused on my academic pursuits but also had the opportunity to play collegiate softball. This experience taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and the importance of supporting one another, qualities that I integrate into my therapeutic practice. Following my undergraduate studies, I furthered my education by obtaining a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. During my studies, I developed a deep understanding of relational dynamics and the systemic factors that influence mental health. This knowledge has equipped me to provide comprehensive support to my clients, whether they are facing personal struggles, relationship issues, or family conflicts.
Professionally, I have had the privilege of engaging in crisis work for Nassau County, where I collaborated with local schools, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, and the Fernandina Beach Police Department. This experience has reinforced my belief in the importance of community and the vital role that mental health support plays in crisis situations. I am committed to advocating for mental health awareness and providing resources that help individuals navigate difficult times.
In my practice, I strongly believe in the therapeutic power of animals. I am currently training my chocolate lab, Arco, to become my co-therapist through animal-assisted therapy. Prior to Arco, my yellow lab, Leeka, served as my co-therapist, and I witnessed firsthand the positive impact she had on my clients. The presence of a therapy animal can create a calming environment and foster deeper connections, allowing individuals to open up and engage in the healing process. My love for animals extends beyond my therapy practice; I also have a mini dachshund and five cats, all of whom bring joy and companionship to my life.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy photography and cooking. These hobbies allow me to express my creativity and find joy in the simple moments of life. Capturing images of the world around me helps me appreciate the beauty in everyday situations, while cooking provides a comforting and nourishing experience that I often share with friends and family.
Overall, my journey as a marriage and family therapist is guided by my passion for helping others, my love for animals, and my commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment for my clients. I look forward to continuing to grow in my profession and making a positive impact on the lives of those I work with.

I approach my work, not just as a professional, but as a daughter, sister, friend, mother, and partner. I strongly believe that as important as it is to acknowledge the challenges of life, effective treatment planning must include your humanity and who you are as a person. As authored by Gordon B. Hinckley "The happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others." The joy of my career is being able to empathically and compassionately serve my patients.

Alex Schuler

Hi! My name is Alex Schuler, and I’m beyond excited to be joining the MAPS Integrated Wellness team as an administrative assitant. Originally from Morrison, Colorado, I made the move to Florida in 2020 and instantly fell in love with the island lifestyle. I’m passionate about assisting patients with their appointments and creating lasting, meaningful connections.

Today, my vision has completely transformed, and I’m so grateful to be able to see clearly again. I truly believe that the challenges we face—emotionally and physically—help shape us, and I’m excited to bring that perspective to my role here.
When I’m not at work, I’m spending time with my 2-year-old Mini Aussie Doodle, Benny. He’s brought so much joy to my life and taught me to embrace each day with a sense of adventure and wonder, just like a puppy!
